How will we use fractions in real life, what kind of job?

How would the average person need to know about fractions? Is there a job that requires knowledge of fractions? How would you use fractions outside of math class?????

you will need every math u can get. man i take ap calculus and i was i regret not paying attention in class because everything i take in math now its like a review of what i took the years iv been taking math.

Understanding fractions is an elementary part of understanding mathematics in general. You might as well ask if there are any jobs for which you don't have to be able to read.
