How do I cut my dogs hair myself? Or where can I learn how?

I want to learn how to cut my dogs hair properly on my own. She is a 5 pound yorkiepoo. I'm having trouble finding a website on how to groom a dog yourself, and what materials I will need. Maybe there is a book out there? Or an at home course to take that doesn't cost a fortune! Please help me on this one! Thanks!

There are many different grooming books, however, these are typically geared to a specific breed. Your best bet would be to contact a local groomer and ask if they can teach you. Many local groomers where I live will do this for a small fee... More

There is a grooming book called All Breed Dog Grooming. You could pick that up at a local bookstore. Also as far as equipment go to your local pet shop. PetSmart, Petco and someone will help you to find what you need. Depending on whether you want to clip or cut with scissors all of that.
