Are Administration assistant hired to be bullied and to make others in the office feel superior ?

Do they hire admins to be servants so they can bully them round and feel good about themselves by talking down to and treating admins like lowly servants. Assuming they're unintelligent and stupid to feed big about themselves ? Is that all part of the admin job description ? I thnk that it is .

some places do treat their admins just like that. No its not part of the description, if you land a crappy job like that you look for another company where they treat you with respect. Admins usually know more than most at the company since they deal with a little of everything within. Just gotta find the right place... More

trying to weed out the weak. think of it as a test for the raise,speak up get noticed ,soon you might be picking on somebody.

I hope not! But it is very easy to feel that way. I think alot of the time you need to be on your toes with your co workers. Learn to be assertive and know what exactly what is expected of you to do and know the stuff that no one really has any right to tell you to do.
