How has the economic crisis affected you?

I live in Western Canada. Prior to the worldwide economic crisis, we had record low unemployment. There were actually businesses that were closing or reducing hours because they couldn't find employees. I have seen everything on the news about the job losses and economic crisis, but since we are in an area where we are still in a really good situation, I haven't really heard any personal stories. What is yours?

Yes it has taken a toll here in Utah. There are many companies layin off, closing and cutting back hours. My hubbys work has gone from great to maybe he will have work 2 days this week. I work in an industrial field and can see the cut backs.

I live in Southern Ontario. It hasn't affected me, my job is very secure. If I took a **** on my boss' desk, I would still have a job. I've seen it effect alot of people though, my friend works for Air Canada, and she is very scared her employer will lay her off.

I live in Switzerland, so it hasn't affected me personally. My husband's company laid off a lot of people though. He was spared, fortunately.

TEXAS is where I live and you should know NAFTA kicks f-in butt. Thank you Canada, the economy in TEXAS is great! PLENTY OF JOBS, good pay, and good health plans! Especially the Central Texas region. This state rocks and a prudent person would feel bad for the other states but not so much here.
