How hard is it to get a job at an outgoing call centre in the UK?

I've been trying to find a job for two months. Everywhere has pretty much ignored my CV despite my having a bachelor's degree in psychology (even McDonalds). I recently applied to an outgoing call centre. How hard would it be for me to get a job there? I really need a job asap... I need a job or I won't be able to visit my family...

Call centres are normally recession proof and have to take on all the time as normally the jobs are so boring they have a high staff turnover, keep looking and applying, you will get employed.

Call centres usually want someone who has worked in call centre before so maybe that is why they have not contacted you back. I would try apply for McDonald's again, or try some cafes in your local area, supermarkets see if they are hiring. At the moment in this economy you have to accept any job and be content with it...
