How difficult is it to get an entry level IT position such as Help Desk or LAN Administrator?

I am going to be obtaining CompTIA A+ Certification, CompTIA Network+ , Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator this August. How difficult will it be to start my IT career? I don't have any IT experience yet, i've only worked as HR in the Staffing Industry

1st get your initial certification then try some small job related to your certification and with job try all these certifications step by step... More

passing those courses and getting your certification in each will most likely get your foot in the door , however NOTHING beats experience . not bragging here but I went out and got more certifications then probably anyone I know , guess what NO ONE CARES what they care about is you show up. and do the job with out... If you live in a moderatly sized city you should be able to land at least help desk position. I started out my IT career with a MCP cert at a school board help desk.. Worked there for 2 years and gained my A+, Net+, and MCSA.. Now i'm the systems Admin at a smaller company... More
