What are the job opportunities in australia now after economical crisis??immigration is a good plan this year?

I am an telecom engineer.Assessed already as electrical and electronic engineer already from Engineers Australia. I m in critcial job list also with MODL.applied in july,08 for 175 skilled VISA, Will I get big problem to get telecom/electronic/electrical engineering job this year if I get PR?? My wife is a doctor and I have one child. Please answer.
