How do I become a Commercial Pilot?

I'm 18 and I can pass all the physical demands for the job. But I don't know the steps to take to become a pilot. I have considered military, but do not wish to enlist in our current situation. I truly want to fly, I understand the demands of the job and am willing. Are there any pilots out there who can give me some good answers or tips. Thanks....
