If i take a Civil Engineering degree can i get any Engineering job?

i know that there are many different areas of engineering, but does it matter what engineering degree i take? can i still get other engineering jobs if i take a civil engineering course? and are there much job oppertunities in london for young civil engineers?

Engineering is VERY specific. As a civil engineer you would be trained on large-scale structural engineering - roads, bridges, and the like. It depends. There is a lot of crossover done in engineering. Most jobs in industry do not actually use what was learned in engineering school, but they require the scientific thinking/problem solving and intelligence of an engineer.
