I want a job that allows me to consults big companies and improve their business. What career is that?

I find myself analyzing organizations and trying to improve the business for more profits so I've been thinking of studying I.O (industrial organization) Psychology but then I heard it's all about motivating people etc?? I know there is human resource but I don't really like the sound of it and it seems like I.O psychologist get paid more? Is it true. There is business consultant but I'm not sure if they get paid that well either. Anyway what types of jobs allow me to improve business etc?
