Can I be sent to combat with a financial specialist job in the National Guard?

Lets say I go for a financial specialist job with the National Guard. Is there ANY possibility that I can be forced into combat? Thank you

Yes of course! Now don't get me wrong, it's the infantry that is doing the actual fighting and all of the support is in the rear- usually far from the actual gun battles. Everyone in the military is subject to go into combat. It may not be likely but one of the first things they will tell you is that your first job is to defend this country.

it doesn't matter what kind of job you hold - if you are with the guard, then the answer is "yes"
