Im sending my CV to different companies to find out if they have any vacancies please read on?

Im looking for a different job and would like to get my CV out to as many company's as I can even though they haven't advertised. Im trying to think of the best things I could put in the covering letter any ideas? P.S: NOT things like 'I wish to apply for the post of............' because I don't know that these company's have any vacancy's!

What you should do is a little bit of research into each company that you are applying to. When you write express your interest in particular aspects of their company and how it compliments your interests... More

There has been a tv advert in UK for putting your CV on line and the site links with possible employers. Can't remember site but think it's something to do with jobcentre plus

Ideally - you'd start it with something like... I am currently working as a (current job) and am looking for a change of career into the (new) sector... For example - I am currently employed as a receptionist, and I am wanting to pursue a career in hotel management...
