How long does marijuana stay in your system?

I am a case manager for homeless youth. I have a client who was homeless and has now applied for a job where they do drug testing. He claims that he is not a habitual user and only used twice in 1 month. The last use was one week ago. Should he be concerned the drug test will come up positive?

It will most likely be out of his system by then if he only smoked once. I've passed in less time than that, but weight really matters and Im very skinny. Tell him to exercise when possible, eat low fat foods, and drink lots of cranberry juice. Dont exercise the last 2 days before the test. When I say out of his system, I mean that it will not be detectable in a test, not that its technically out of his system. This confusion is why some people think you will fail a test unless you have a month to get clean, which is not true at all and shows they have never smoked or taken a test. If there's doubt tell him to get synthetic urine, you can find them at your local head shops most likely, call around. He can just go into the bathroom with the bottle and squirt it in the cup, perfectly legal. It stays at body temperature with a warmer pad. I've had 22 jobs and there's never been 2 weeks in a row in which I have not smoked, so you can imagine how many drug tests I've taken. The people who say 30 days are wrong, and I explained earlier why they are confused. I don't know how they explain all of us, people like me, who have smoked within a week of taking a test and passed. Detox drinks dont work, only for some people, because it wasnt the detox drink that made them pass, it was their own metabolism, but they give credit to the detox drink, not knowing the truth. Check the ingredients on any detox drink, its basically just colored water with creatine (creatine adds to water retention, so the people who have passed only passed because they diluted the test, which is the same as drinking lots of water and p****g out nothing but water, many labs will make you retest if this happens. Its happened to me before, called me back and made me retest,1 made me wait in the lobby until I had to go again, wouldnt let me retest another day). This is the most popular video on youtube when it comes to drug testing, and as you can see from many people's comments, the advice has worked for them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZoD_YSR46I&feature=channel_page

I've taken at least 11 tests in the past 8 years. I've worked for Google, Cisco, USPS, a Law Firm, and Subway for examples. The longest I have gone without smoking is 5 days. I have a prescription now.

Stays in your system about 30 days. whether he's habitual or not...the thc stores in his fat cells, so if he/she is fat, will stay longer, if less than maybe not..give up hope unless they have willpower..i used to smoke, but had to get a job so quit...

.homeless are societies parasites, hope you find a real calling

Depends on the amount of body fat he has, and how fast a metabolism he has, but from what i have heard if they don't normally smoke, like a everyday thing, it should be out of their system a week or two after the use, he should be ok
Answered By: alikat804 - 2/26/2009
If you are a regular user then it can stay in your system for quite a few months. If you are an occasional user then a couple weeks, but twice in a month...he will probably come up positive for marijuana.
Answered By: ktheartsop - 2/26/2009
If he has only used twice in a month, and has drank plenty of fluids, and the last time was a week ago, he should be able to pass the test.

but, then again, it all depends on how much he smoked those two times, and if its really the case. weed can stay in your urine for up to 30 days, sometimes more if you are a heavy smoker.

but i woud say yes, there is always a chance if it has only been a week.

Pot has the habit to stay in your body longer because it's fat soluble. The more you smoke it the longer it will stay in your system for. Could be weeks to months depending on the usage. It is a possibility that it would show up. The majority of other drugs are water soluble so they leave your system sooner, a couple or days.
Answered By: Abbra - 2/26/2009
I have missed out on employment opportunities up to three months after my last smoke. Depending on how heavy a smoker you are, cannabis will stay in your body fat for months.
You can purchase a home urine testing kit. They cost about thirty dollars Australian, and you should be able to get one from the chemist.

Answered By: dreamgirl - 2/26/2009
It depends on how much that person smoked. For example, if it was just a few hits, it's be gone in a week or so, if it was a 1/4 ounce in one day it'll be there for a month or two. What that person should to is drink a 50/50 mix of white vinagar and c gelatin(a glassful every 6 hours; 3x a day). it'll be out of his system in 5 days or so.

(NOTE: the drink will make him sick)

For 3 to 90 days because it is related to THC which stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol.
Answered By: Joshua M - 2/26/2009
It probably will come up positive. If he really only smoked it twice I doubt it would stay in his system for a full 30 days, but unless he's been drinking lots of water to flush out his system I don't think he'll pass.

A UDS (urine drug screen) will pick it up for up to 3 months depending on how much you smoke.
It will show up in a Hair sample unless you shave your head regularly.
The test used by the Police on roadside lick tests will show positive up to 12 hours, even if you clean your mouth...

Also tell him to drink a lot of water. I also heard for some reason monster, cranberry juice, and green tea all help with the cleansing process. Just tell him to take some protein so that his p*e wont be clear and it wont look like he was tryin to detox..i hope this helps. ive never had to worry abotu this cuz i dont get tested but this is exactly what i would do. plus as long as he doesnt have any priors he should be ok..they usually let it slide ONE TIME if your are on probation. but if you test dirty twice your screwed.

Get a test from wal-mart and do a pre-test. in the meantime, get AZO cranberry pills and drink nothing but water... nothing acidic. just water.

also, when he does test and if he happens to be in the bathroom by himself, advise him to p*e midstream. do not start or finish p****g in the cup, some fatty cells holding THC like to rest at the bottom of the kidneys.

if he knows the date of the test, tell him not to eat the day of the test, tell him only to drink lots of water (nothing else) and make sure that he goes to the bathroom at least once before he takes the test. he should be in the clear, but you never test positive for being paranoid :)

So today I went in for an interview and I was going in for the 2nd interview by the head chief executive. now this is where it got weird, so she asked me about my previous jobs and said how much she liked that product over that product. then she started talking about her daughter? an her divorce ...then how she didn't finish college because she was making more money doing what she did for this company ... then she talked about how her teenage daughter is a handful... I just played it cool thinking she was using some sort of psychology thing to trick me into saying something stupid. the interview ended and she seemed happy an I was escorted to the door... now I'm freaking confused? is this normal behavior for an executive? like it felt like she was going to burst into tears at one point and tell me her life problems... is this normal? was she trying to see how I react or something?

Basically- no degree, although I have tried completing one in the past and stopped because of physical and mental health issues which were overwhelming to deal with along with going to classes full time. I'm not stupid and I am quite articulate. I am 23 and have only worked for about two years retail in high school and stopped working to go to university. I worked a few months in 2010 retail after I dropped out but it was only a seasonal position, and the only reason why I have not been able to constantly work is because of mental health issues. I had also tried going back to community college during my free time since i left university in 2008/9 and I had panic attacks while in community college, which made my anxiety worse from then on. Well recently I met a good doctor and he prescribed me some meds that are stabilizing my moods and I feel the best I've felt in years, and I'm ready to work. Thing is, I don't know how to get a job now since I've spent literally years being depressed and anxious doing nothing. I don't really have anything to put on my resume, and I never finished my AA degree either. All I've done is cashiering and although I do the job well and I get promoted easily when I do these jobs because I'm a hard worker and I try to go above and beyond what they ask of me,which is the attitude I have no matter what kind of work I'm doing as long as I'm getting paid. But I hate cashiering because it's too easy and I want a job that is more interesting. Any suggestions for me on how to get a job that is NOT Retail with the type of background I have right now? I also realize I have to go to college to get certain types of jobs, I am talking about what I can do right here right now.

Recently I have overlooked for a project at work and I am unable to accept it why? I am hard working, dedicated, maintain a very professional decorum, very cordial with my colleagues and bosses, give respect to one and all. Still people who take the p***, argue with managers, gossip mongers have been selected for some very responsible positions at work. I seriously can't get my head around it why, why unprofessional people who have no work ethics being selected over me, whereas I have a track record of excellent performance and never shy away from any work my manager ask me to do? I am at my lowest point and not getting hold of my manager to ask the question why not me, why them who can't even bother? I am feeling like a complete loser, giving years to this place, building my performance, trust and this is how I get rewarded. Why my life is so shit, anything I wish for turns to dust?

So I have a nice white button up shirt, business skirt and pants, and a suit jacket. I'm applying for a software development job and I'm very short and can look young so I'm trying to look adult, yet professional. I'm also attractive so I'm trying not to look too sexy. For the career fair I'm thinking of wearing just my nice shirt and a skirt with low heels. My reasoning being it's approachable and attractive without going overboard since the career fair hosts are mostly younger male recent grads. I want to be remembered but not intimidating. For my interviews I was thinking pants, suit jacket (power suit). My reasoning being it'll be older execs and HR people (mostly women) so less sexy with the pants but more powerful with the suit jacket. What do you think?!

But since it is a case study, we will be on group, we will be four i think. Project manager, Analyst, Documentation, and the programmer. I am asking what jobs i can get after graduating I.T. because what if i graduated I.T. and still not that good at coding, i am hoping that there will be a jobs that will require less programming. Like Database manager or in Multimedia or in charge of Network. So is there jobs that doesn't require hardcore programming skills?
