Jobs: Are Craigslist Ads For Real or Fake?

I've seen several jobs posted on craigslist. I've responded to about 150 of them. I've only received 2 responses. Am I wasting my time? I have have 5 excellent references, strong resume and communication skills. I've asked most of these places for a business name, ULR, name of president/owner and a number. I do not send out my resume and references to just anyone. My skills include: * Cleaning 9 bedrooms for a Bed & Breakfast Inn. * Front Desk Work(Answering phones and use of excel) with same Bed & Breakfast. * Internet work for same Bed and Breakfast. * Product descriptions for several clients from the net(digitalpoint). * On page SEO- creation of content. *Forum and Blog Comments.

I have had many interviews from places that were on Craigslist - but the odds of being answered are about 75 to 1. If there is a temporary agency near you - sign up with them for the mean time. Who knows - you may find some permanent work from temp - I did. Good Luck and keep trying ♥

i have answered ads in craigslist and receive calls from people wanting to sell stuff and I'm pretty sure the got my information from my resume so be careful and only send your resume to people you know are affiliated with an actual workplace, otherwise you have people chasing you like these other answers here

Unfortunately Craigslist does not filter out the crap, as does eBay for example, not comparing the 2. Also, you will get more scams on Craigs list than anywhere, so be careful. You should consider building a resume on hotjobs or careerbuilder. These are on the level.
