After 6 months out of work I landed myself a provisional offer? What should I do?
It is a part-time admin/receptionist post. Should I accept it and see it as a foot in the door? Btw, during those 6 months I had a voluntary job and for the past 6 weeks I have been temping in a GP surgery which is crap. Can't wait to get out of there. I suspect my taxes are not being paid because they refuse to give me a payslip. I'm not unemployed. I'm in a crappy temp job.

Take the job. It may or may not be a foot in the door but one thing I have learned in my 62 years is that people in work usually find it much easier to get other work.

Since you don't like your temp job now and they don't seem to be paying you correctly it cant hurt to try it out. As long as you can pay your bills on it. Admin/receptionist is definetely a foot in the door position. Good Luck!
