What's the best way to apply for a job, when it states ''Apply in writing''?
I have seen a job advertised for a Counter Clerk at a Post Office, and this is the way that I need to apply. I have never had to apply for a job vacancy this way before. Any tips, advice or guidance on roughly what I need to say, how I need to word it, the layout etc. Many thanks.

Apply in writing simply means hand in your CV with a covering letter. It doesn't mean you have to hand write your application.

Hand deliver a resume to the post office, don't forget to ask for an application as well.

Resume and cover sheet either by e-mail or fax. Search on Yahoo or Google "How to write a resume" and "how to write a cover sheet" and it gives you samples and layout instructions.
