What makes people choose speech pathology over occupational therapy and vice versa?

I have been looking to go into speech pathology for some time but unsure if it's the right choice for me. Occupational therapy also seems to be a good career and has recently been on the top careers list in the past few years. What are the main differences between the speech pathology career and the OT career? Why/How do people choose one over the other? What kind of personality do you need to have to be in one over the other? Any input would be appreciated.
