What is the difference between a "wildlife biologist" and a "zoologist"?

So if I want to get into the study of mammals, like doing research and field work. Which one would fit the most?

Yes, wildlife biologist study specific large animals that occur in Nature. Like wolfs or deer. Zoologist work within a specific fauna. Some zoologist study mammals, some birds, some insects. A person that studies or specializes in "wildlife" is one who has an interest in "all" living things encompassing animals and plants, and including man. A Zoologist is one who deals "only" with animals.

A wildlife biologist studies systems that effect animals in the wild and study animals behavior on a large scale vs. Zoologists that study many of the cellular level of animals and the more in depth biology, chemistry, and physics the effect animals. go with wildlife biologist :) way cooler
