Should LaVeyan Satanists be considered true devil worshipers?

Or are they just attention seeking, culture defying wannabes who worship a symbol but not a deity called Satan?

yes they are true devil worshipers they take it to heart. they believe that path is the right path as we believe in another. they don't seek attention because people who like attention are stupid people and satanists hate stupidity...

answer: A little of both. They have rituals but do NOT worship anything or anyone. Satan is used as a symbol, for shock value and as inspiration.

Honestly, and I know a lot about "faiths" and the LeVeys -- I grew up in CA (and also know a lot about a lot) -- just as I would say of it any cult -- NO. I think they meant well but their desire for sensationalism (which is in of itself absolutely appropriate) went beyond the actual point. Or did it? Maybe not... More
