What jobs other than attorney can you use a juris doctor degree for?

I was interested in getting into law school and I was wondering if there were other job opportunities available if i decided to pursue a JD.

The Juris Doctor (J.D.) is a strange degree. It started off as a Bachelor's Degree (LL.B.) and then it was converted to a graduate degree and called a doctorate but most academia do not accept it as a doctorate because there is no dissertation. Teaching at a college, and I know people who work in HR and other administrative jobs with a JD, and do not practice law.

I have a JD and I do recruiting for attorneys. Having the knowledge you receive at law school (terminology, how things actually work) is helpful in this field. Of course in this much recruiting are we doing

Apart from the job of Attorney, the other jobs are corporate-in-house counseling, technology licensing and contract administration , insurance and risk management and legislative analysts..
