What are my chances of becoming a fighter pilot, realistically?

I'm attending Spartan college of aeronautics, I currently have a 3.5 GPA and will graduate and receive a bachelor's degree in aeronautical science. I possess my private pilot's license currently, and should receive commercial before I graduate. Am I going the right way to become a fighter pilot? Or am I better off in an ROTC program? Which branch is hiring the most fighter pilots currently? Thanks in advance for all the advice.
