So creationists use the bible to explain for the dinosaurs, but what about the Ice Age?

Not the movie mind you, the period. How does the bible reconcile with the rise of the mammals, global cooling, and the evidence for such found in geological, chemical, and paleontological fields for it? Any bible passages pointing out the expansion of the ice sheets? Candys Mom: You just gave an example of snow, not a global Ice Age. Fransda: I'm not talking about dinosaurs but the global Ice Age. Where is it in the bible along with the unique animal species of that era? Also how can a cold blooded giant reptile survive it to be alive by Job's time?

Stare at the Christian guide book long enough and you can justify anything. It won't make sense, but they are used to that.

"Must be faulty evidence." That's the only way they can reconcile the ice age and data with the bible. Their "go to" answer is always, that they trust God over the evidence because man found the evidence and man is not perfect. EDIT: This comment is in regards to young earth creationists as "they"

The last glacial period ended 10.000 years ago. Thats 4000 years before they think the earth was made so they dont have to account for it.

Please don't over generalize. All creationists do not use the Bible to explain dinosaurs. Dinosaurs were extinct for millions of years before the Bible was written. The Bible is not a book of geology, chemistry or palentology.

Genesis gives a "snapshot" view of the beginnings of the Earth and doesn't go into enormous details about how each age went, or what mechanism God used to create the world, the plants and animals or exactly how long it took. The "six days" actually mean "six ages."

research how they get all these dates and all the discrepancies and anomolies. the science is a far way from perfect. just last week some scientists used a relatively newer method on the famous peking man of china and he is apparently 200,000 years older than previously thought. my point is that these dates change all... While the Bible, and particularly Genesis is wanting for lack of information, and any interpretation that supposes a young Earth can be easily refuted by evidence, Job is in fact a historical document that comes from a deep antiquity, and that creates serious problems in trying to pin down a date for the period being...
