my fujifilm camera is freezing what do i do?

my fujifilm digital camera is acting weird. i just put brand new batteries in it and when i turn it on the green light comes on but not the screen or anything else and when i try to turn it off it wont go off and i have to take the batteries out to get it off. i cleaned the batery connection thingys and the batteries but its not doing anything its like a 350 dollar camera and had it for little over a year and the warrenty is off soo i cant change it or anything please help me

Sorry but, I think you're gonna have to get a new one, or send it to Fuji for repairs. This will probably be expensive, though. Personally - I'd tell you to junk it and get digital Canon Rebel. Much better than anything Fuji ever made.

wen did u purchase it? and are u sure it hasnt been in any contact with liquid? if u've gotten it quick recently u noe u can get warranty stuff on it? need more info hun =/ stop panickin!!!

You can try updating your firmware through the internet. Firmware can fix some errors with devices, but if the camera is a little beat up you might be out of luck. Try to find your camera on the link below.
