I am interested in becoming a Occupational therapy assistant. Is this a good choice in healthcare?

I am in the process of trying to find out what to return to college for. Is there anyone that may have experience as a Occupational Therapist Assistant. Do you have to obtain a Associate degree to work in this field. Also, if you have experience, do you enjoy the work and can you make a living wage with this background.
