Where is a great small town?

My friend and i are graduating from college with a nursing degree. we want to experience the small town life where there are a couple nursing jobs. we want country music, quiet life, cow boys, younger average ages. we want a safe place where we know our neighbors and can keep the doors unlocked, a decent income, quaint area, and friendly people. beautiful area would be nice too. also, there has to be something to do when we get bored. :) any ideas would be great. we haven't done the small life ever, so any advice would be great! :]
