How hard is to become an electronics technician in the navy?

I want to become one. Do they usually give you your first choice? Is electronics technician filled up?

Your Navy recruiter will administer an aptitude test which will show whether you meet the standards. If you do, you can be guaranteed a slot in the ET training program. When you take the ASVAB (aptitude test), you meet with the recruiter afterward and he'll go over various rates (job specialties). He may try to steer you into another job with promises of big bonuses and blah blah blah, but stick by your guns and tell him you want to have guaranteed ET "A" School in your contract... More
