No jobs in architecture: Can I use my degree to work in the oil & gas industry?

I hold an honors degree in Architecture. Due to the economic climate, I cannot find a job with an architecture firm. I really need to make a bit of money and so was thinking about trying to get an offshore job. Would I need to retrain (apart from survival course) to get a job in the oil industry? Is there a specialism within the oil/gas industry that is relevant to my degree? Thanks.

If you do your research and want to get a job in the oil industry there is one spot here in America where you be able to find a job in oil/gas, lookup Gillette, Wyoming on the internet, theres alot of oil/gas jobs out that way. I used to live there, about the only issue is its hard to find housing.
