I hate my job but I have a non compete agreement for 1-1/2 years.What happens if i switch to competitor's co.?
I am a product designer and recently got a job from a company that would sponsor my work visa. After I started, second month they cut down my salary 10%. Plus the work is extremely stressful. I can't sleep at nights. I feel like trapped because i have a non-compete agreement. What happens if i decide to switch to another company without letting my boss know where i am going.

Well for starters most non-compete contracts are junk and would never stand up in court. Second if you signed a non-compete and then they later cut your pay then the non-compete is null and void. Third they would have to prove that you were using information you obtained from then in your new job. To top it all off... More

You have to find a legal way to break the contract, or force the other party to, or you can get sued. ( is the lower salary in your contract?) You should call a lawyer.
