Why are politicians allowed to have multiple jobs and double dip social security.?

Why do many public officials have multiple jobs and can double dip social security. Most police officers also moonlight on a second job and the department look the other way. .

Double dipping refers to receiving social security and having a government job also. It is called double dipping because the government is paying the SS retirement, and the person is earning a government paycheck. No one can receive 2 social security checks. (Unless it is fraud... More

Double dipping been around for a long time. it like a veterans puncheon . Plus SSi retirement for 35 years in the work place. both lea gal.

They cannot double dip social security. They can get more than one pension but these are nothing to do with social security. Also, most public officials are not politicians. They are the police, firefighters etc.
