What are some different things to add to a nursing degree?
any kind of specialty, like my aunt is an RN kidney/dialysis specialist or something like that. so what kind of things can you add to Registered Nursing and what kind of pay increase do you get for knowing it?

You can get certification in your specialty of choice after working for two years in that specialty and taking a certification exam. Pay increases or bonuses vary depending on the facility. I dont know about pay. But I know that you can be like a surgical nurse, a clerical nurse, and ER nurse, and OR nurse, all sorts of things. Usually the more specialized you are, the more $ you get.

Once you are a RN and start working in a specific area, you may choose to get a certification in that specialty. Most certifications require that the nurse work within the specialty for a certain amount of time (typically 2 yrs), and take a certification exam.
