What should I expect for my new hostessing job?

I have an interview on Saturday for a hostessing job at La Casita. This is my second job, but I know nothing about hostessing. I know for sure I'm going to get the job so what should I expect?

It is your job to make sure each waiter gets an equal number of tables. So you spread the people around the restaurant. You have to occasionally clear a table of dirty dishes if everyone else is busy. You then escort people to their table. Switch to waiter as fast as possible. The pay is better..

With hostessing the job is pretty easy in theory, You pretty much greet and seat guests and keep them happy if there is a wait... More

People who expect a table right now even though its Friday night. But I know the owner, chef, etc, so I shouldn't have to wait in line. People walking in 5 min. before closing and wanting a 3 course meal. But I'm "somebody" and I should get the table I want even if you have to move somebody, oh and I want it right... More
