what is going on with the killings in the US?
I live in Canada but I've been reading all these news about police officers getting killed in Oakland and Pittsburgh, and that senseless murders in that immigration depot, and I understand that we canadians shouldn't butt in to US situations, but as a human being I'm pretty concerned about these senseless killings. Now what i don't understand is, why do Americans love their guns so much as to not accept gun regulations?

Canadians don't have a culture of violence. The US has a big shadow element to its psyche which is the violent oppression of native americans and black people. Add that to the violent suppression of Iraqis ( so quaintly dubbed Hajjis by the US troops there--didn't they call the Vietnamese ( also another people who... More

I like most of the answers you received and they could explain a lot. I also think drugs which are quite plentiful in the US add to our problems. Put it all together and you violence beyond control.

I like you. Americans are proving their hypocrisy. Americans say to every other country"you can't do this you can't do that" while we Americans go without rules and kill each other.
