Methods for removing gunky stuff?

I just opened the kitched pantry and, gasp!, found that a can of Ocean Spray cranberry slices had leaked down the back of the painted cabinet wall. The stuff is dry and stuck on in some areas and just gooey in others. What do I use to get the dried gunk off? I don't want to ruin the paint job! Thanks! I tried Robin's method and I heated up a wet towel in the microwave. It worked wonders! I didn't even need soap. Thanks!

Start by covering the sticky mess with a damp hot towel. You can get the towel wet and then microwave it for about 30 seconds. Lay the towel over the mess for a few minutes to loosen up the mess. Then scrub it down with soap and water.

I use Joy dishwashing solution for everything that needs cleaned. If something soaks in it it will come off whether it's food or goo or... More
