How should I plan developmentally appropriate activities dealing with community for kindergarten students?

I decided to do mine on community so how should I go about planning them in which they are concrete and meaningful for children?

My Community and Community Helpers are very popular themes for PreK and K. I have found that many Kindergarten websites have this theme on them and you will be able to reap a lot of ideas from them. Search the internet for Kindergarten Themes or My Community or Community Helpers, etc. Good luck!
