How does your job positively affect others?

As an RN my job affords me the opportunity to administer assistance and aid to all peoples I come in contact with on a daily basis. My job is physically and emotionally draining but every smile, every hug, every kind word or gesture reminds me what a privilege it is to get to touch peoples lives in a positive way. What is your job and how can you use it to be a positive influence on those you come in contact with?

I'm a campus tour guide for my university. I help prospective students see the campus from the perspective of a current student, something online statistics can't do. I help them make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. I love my job, I get paid to talk to strangers. :-D

I occasionally go down to a local powder coating company and clean out their air vents filters. I don't think it affects the people working there drastically, but at least they don't have to do it, and the air around them is cleaner for them while they work.

I want to be a lawyer, so I guess it will have both positive and negative effects. Some people might thank me, while it could possibly damage other people's lives.
