When are we going to stop this pointless "war on drugs", and legalize Marijuana?

Marijuana is no more dangerous than Alcohol or Tobacco. I would go a step further and say it is also less dangerous than fire arms. So why is it illegal? I myself feel that it is because corporations like Kimberly-Clark, International Paper, nd several oil company's; are afraid of loosing money due to the legalization of hemp. War on drugs? or war on corporate profits?? WHY IS MARIJUANA ILLEGAL!!??

Agreed. It makes absolutely no sense that pot is illegal while alcohol and tobacco (both of which are MORE harmful and MORE addictive) are legal... More

two words. term limits. as long as empty headed shills for corporations can 'sound' tough by putting kids in jail for smoking weed they will do it. there is literally no connection between the realities of marajuana usage and our policy.

Your argument revolves around legalizing yet another harmful substance simply because other harmful substances are already legal. Do you see the giant hole in your logic?

Why would those companies lose money if hemp were legalized? If hemp were an attractive substance (and it is), what would prevent those companies from using it, if it were legalized? Nothing, they would use it and benefit from it just as anyone else could... More

From a logistical point of view it should be legalized! From a political point of view it shouldn't.

no one is going to do it for you. Read up and spread the truth. Start a petition to legalize, lean on your congresspeople, be the one that makes the change. It's in our hands, if we leave this life and it's still illegal then we didn't do all we could. I wish you luck and Godspeed.
