How hard is it to become a Canadian citizen?

the only reason I would want to do this is so that i can receive their national health care plan. please help, im diabetic and its getting expensive!!!

I gather you are an American. You will have to follow the same procedure as everyone else. Canada gets about 900 thousand requests a year and accepts 300 thousand. Having Canadian citizenship doesn't entitle one to receive Canadian health coverage. You have to be a legal resident for a certain period of time to have access. Well if you have skills enough to outweigh your physical limitations, then you might be able to get permanent residency status in Canada.
