Is there a specific job title for whoever chooses and inserts songs in a film as it's soundtrack?

When making a film, I know that there are hundreds of jobs on any given set. Is there a specific position for someone to work with the movie and choose the songs for the film and where they go? Is that part of the editor's job? Is that something that the director does? Or is that a whole other job? If so, what is that job title? I know that there are composers for film scores, but I don't mean that film st. Thanks!
