Mechanical Engineering would be the best way to make money. However you'll probably end up staring at a pc all day designing parts rather than working on an actual car. I recommend you don't concentrate on money too much. Do what you love and that will matter so much more.

Exotic car detailer. $12,000 for "one" car!!!! and 10 hours. Involves alot of skill and very specialized equiptment. Must be good dealing with the rich but I guess you'd be rich then too.
