Do you have to sign a non compete clause if you work for the IRS?

I will specifically be a Tax Compliance Officer. I would like to know because I am also considering starting my own tax planning office.

If you work for IRS you are not allowed to do any outside tax work except for family or as an unpaid volunteer. You don't have to sign a non-compete agreement, you just have to realize that you will be fired if you don't follow the rules.
