Should I just hand in resumes to the human resources or should I bother with the department?

I'm applying for a job as a X-Ray tech in new york city~ Should I hand in my resumes to the human resources online? or should I hand it in in person? Or should I even go to the radiology department to bother the directer to give me a job? I've heard many technologist to tell me to go up to the department and introduce myself and stuff but does this work in the city? P.S. I'm a new graduate.

In person. Or speak to someone in the human resource center over the phone. I got an interview the same day by doing that! She said my application would never get there and she was happy I called.

Call the HR department and find out what their policy is. Many will not accept a paper resume (job application must be sent online). If they will accept a paper resume then take your resume to the HR department and ask to speak to the HR Manager.
