Why do you speak with a foreigner when you call your credit card company?

Every time I call customer service I get someone who has not mastered english on any level.. I'm just curious , why can't some of these credit card companies give Americans the job of customer service? Any thoughts?

Like you said, it depends on what credit card company you're talking about. Everyone knows it's cheaper to outsource labor. Why dont you call them and ask them to? Maybe if you ask real nice they will cancel their contract with whatever Indian sweatshop they hired and because you awakened their corporate moral turpitude, next year you will pay 0% interest on your balance as a thank you for your help.
