What are the chances I will have to wait to go to my MOS school for the Marine Corps?

I am signing my contract as a reservists with the MOS 3051. I have heard that I may have to wait for quiet sometime to actually start training for my MOS and I am wondering what I will do during that time period. I already have a good job and that is why I am going in the reserves but will I have to stay at Camp Lejeune while I wait for an opening for a class?

I don't think your wait for 3051-Warehouse Clerk should be too long. You could pick up right away, or it could take a couple days or even week. I don't think it should take too long though. But nobody really can tell you exactly how long of a wait you have to class up. It all depends on how many marines are going into... More

You'll be treated like any other marine and your training will be immediate. That is ... if you even make it to Camp Lejeune.
