What can you do if your manager drastically cut your hours after hiring four new workers?

Me and my coleagues have been working 18-30 hours per week and we are willing to work more hours if needed but instead our manager hired more people and cut our hours to 12 hours per week. He was heard saying "I will cut their hours and I hope they quit". Some people have already quit because of this practice. Our store manager is going too far. Which agency can help us?

uh...none. Employment is at will; you are part time employees. You a re working part time. Unless you have a contract or union protection, the action is probably legal. he's giving you a chance to walk away without being fired. I'd talk the hint.

your local unemployment agency can help you find a new job. you may consider thanking him for not firing you and ask him what you can do to become a more valuable employee.

If you do not belong to a union, you're out of luck. The company has the right to hire anyone they like. No agency can help. Sorry.
