It is not enough just to obey big brother Winston -- You must love him .... Do you love big brother?

Have you said the following enough today ? I am glad that our police and military keep me safe and throw some people into cages ---- Thank god for that I am glad big business trickles down money and jobs at the discretion of a few wealthy families who just know more than we do --- Thank god we have a qualified professional staff to advise us on everything all the time God knows we are too dumb to do it ourselves Security in your house and a 2 way radio offered by Onstar are good moves and yes even the new GPS locator to find lost children is excellent --- even if there is a small risk it might be abused by the government --- It is clearly always worth the risk ---- I trust big brother --- but should I really ? It is not enough just to obey big brother Winston -- You must love him .... Do you love big brother I fail to see why it would matter when I read the book 1984 ... but seems it does matter to some I read it in 1984 ----- And it is still strangely relevant and it has been getting more relevant not less since time has gone on ...... now you tell me if that is mere coincidence ?

They are the ones who fought a war... More

No I'm not a liberal! Even in the garden of Eden Man had to work. There is NO Utopia. If there was Man would find a way to destroy it, or say we want More at someone else expense.

Having read 1984, I understand that the state was not the benevolent "big brother" that it claimed to be. We should beware duplicity in the stated intentions of those who claim to want to save us regardless of our will on the matter. Yet even if they were entirely noble, still I would hate them for "doing good" to me... More
