How do I combine French fluency with a career in journalism or publishing?

I'm looking for advice on how to best prepare/break into the publishing or journalism world while using my knowledge of French (I'm a native English speaker). I'd love a job in France or French Canada using my English skills... or work in NYC (where I'm from) using my French skills (only its not my first language)... Ideas? Advice? Master's Programs to refer me to? Thanks!

Having foreign language experience looks great to any employer. Maybe you could look for a company that does worldwide business, like a newspaper with foreign branches or a news station with affiliates in different francophone countries.
