Should I take a job in Tyler or Fort Worth?

I am in a medical field and get paid well and can pick my poison, so to speak, when it comes to relocating. If the jobs pay the same and I have a young family should I pick DFW or Tyler? We love having things to do in big cities (Chicago atm), but love the idea of being in a clean living, cheaper suburb where we can buy land..... Anyone in the area have any insights? Thanks!

You're the only one who can decide if you'd rather live in a city of 624,000 or a town of 85,000 --- but Tyler is not a suburb of any city. I'd suggest you visit both places before you decide.

Fort Worth- Born and raised 4th generation. No place like it on Earth. And, I've been all over.
