It is not as hard as people said it is. The alignment shop wanted 7.5 hours of labor at $89 per hour. I've done mine in 2.5 hours both side total... More

you may need what they call a ball joint press either that or a hydraulic press, but the ball joint press works well. YOu can get them at just about any parts store

Just a hint, the ball joints will come out a lot easier with two or three whacks with a hammer. you wont hurt the control arm just wear glasses to keep crap out your eye otherwise a good writeup above oh and the pickle fork is kind of a PITA unbolt the ball joint and a couple smacks from that same hammer to the side... More
