What jobs allow you to travel extensively?

Can anyone suggest a job they have, or have heard of people they know who have jobs that allow extensive travelling? I'm a software engineer at a bank and am looking to change career. Few ideas I have are management consultant companies, e.g. McKinsey. or helping out with my family business attending art auctions at various locations. Obviously McKinsey isn't an easy company to get in, and possibly won't give me enough personal time to do my own thing while travelling. Any ideas are welcome!

I have a friend who's a travel agent, and she and her husband get to go all over the world two or three times a year. That's a good one to check out.
