What are some healthcare jobs that require little or no certification or educational training?

I'm a Pre-Healthcare student at a four-year university and I'm looking for ways to get my foot in the door of the hospital or clinical setting. I've done a little shadowing but I live a good distance from suburban areas so I've been hesitant to spend a lot of gas money on driving for simple, not-very-useful volunteer experience (giving water to patients, etc.) Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
